Get to know a little about me.

Hi there! My name is Brianna Kirkland. I’m a web designer in Santa Fe, NM. Thanks for visiting my personal site! I’ve been technologically inclined for as long as I can remember, and an avid user of the web since it’s inception. This has fueled my life-long internet obsession. No really, I have a serious love affair going on with the web. I’m infatuated with the idea that anything you could ever want to learn about is out there somewhere on the web. So, I spend a lot of my life “plugged-in.” I’m forever reading blogs, articles, and tutorials about everything web. I can’t get enough of the constant evolution of web technology, and do my best to keep up with ever changing technology.

I started Purple Paisley Productions in 2010 to turn my nerdy hobby into a freelance profession! I’d love to help you create an online presence for your business (or just yourself!). My Background

I first taught myself HTML in high school in 1997. Upon graduating, I worked as a web production artist for a local graphic design shop for the next five years. I worked in the mortgage industry, property management, and was a professional line cook. And through it all, I’ve always maintained my passion for technology and the web. I kept up my web development chops as a hobby, even when I wasn’t doing it for money. These days, I’ve shifted my focus back to the web whole-heartedly. I graduated from Santa Fe Community College in Spring 2013 with dual degrees in Media Arts. Now I’m an adjunct faculty there, teaching advanced web design seminar classes. It’s been my goal to help the program evolve to keep up to date with the current web design industry. I teach HTML5/CSS3, WordPress, Responsive Web Design, internet marketing, and more. I’m also the Web Producer at the Santa Fe Reporter. It’s a great opportunity, and a fun team to be a part of.
